Round Heavy-Duty Self-Adhesive Furniture Pads

Under a piano or a heavy table, a single-layer pad crushes flat and quits protecting. This one runs 11 mm of PA6 needle-punched fiber, more than double the standard build, with the same silent, low-friction surface. EHBT fiberglass mesh adhesive sticks it down with no tools. For smooth, hard floors.

Overview

Round Heavy-Duty Furniture Pads, Self-Adhesive

Heavy furniture destroys Single-Layer pads. The weight compresses Single-Layer pad fiber flat, grinds through the surface, and leaves the raw leg sitting on your floor within months. Round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pads solve this with 11 mm thick PA6 needle-punched fiber, more than double the Standard construction. Same silent, low-friction surface. Built to survive under pianos, commercial dining tables, hotel lobby furniture, heavy cabinets, and anything that weighs enough to crush Single-Layer pads flat. Round heavy-duty furniture pads are built for that weight.

from Ø 30 mm to Ø 300 mm. No small sizes because the furniture that needs heavy-duty protection doesn’t have small legs. If you have been cycling through heavy-duty felt pads for heavy furniture that compress flat within weeks, round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pads are the upgrade. Heavy-duty furniture pads for hardwood floors, tile, laminate, vinyl, and stone that actually last under extreme weight. EHBT (yellow) fiberglass mesh acrylic adhesive bonds to wood, metal, and plastic legs with no tools and no hardware.

How to Measure for Round Heavy-Duty Self-Adhesive Furniture Pads

Same process as Single-Layer pads, but the measurement matters more under heavy loads. An oversized round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad peels faster because the adhesive at the edges has no leg surface to bond to. With at 10 mm increments, there is a near-exact match for every heavy round leg.

Step 1. Access the leg base

Heavy furniture may need two people to tilt safely. You need a clear look at the bottom of each leg: the flat surface where the round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad will bond.

Step 2. Measure the diameter

Straight across the widest point of the round base, in millimeters. A ruler or tape measure works. Millimeter precision is all you need to find the closest match in the 28-size range.

Step 3. Pick slightly smaller

If your measurement falls between two sizes, go smaller. A round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad that sits inside the footprint stays bonded under heavy load. One that overhangs peels under its own weight.

Piano caster cups and pedestal bases: measure the full diameter of the flat contact surface. Large bases often have a rubber foot or leveling pad that should be removed before measuring. For pianos on caster cups, measure the cup’s base diameter, not the caster wheel. Piano leg floor protectors should be sized to the cup that actually contacts the floor.

How to Install

Same peel-and-press installation as Single-Layer pads. No tools. No drilling. Every round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad comes with EHBT fiberglass mesh acrylic adhesive already applied. The one advantage of heavy furniture: the extra weight actually accelerates the adhesive cure. More downforce means a stronger bond, faster.

What you need
  • 70% isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth
  • Access to the bottom of each leg (heavy furniture may need two people to tilt)
  • That’s it. No tools, no drill, no screws
Installation steps
  1. Wipe the bottom of the leg with isopropyl alcohol. Old wax, dust, and adhesive residue prevent a strong bond, and under heavy furniture you do not want to repeat the process.
  2. Peel the yellow backing from the round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad to expose the EHBT adhesive.
  3. Center the pad on the leg and press firmly for 30 seconds. Initial tack is immediate. Allow 48 hours for the adhesive to reach full cure. Full contact, no air pockets, no lifted edges.
  4. Set the furniture back down. The extra weight strengthens the EHBT adhesive bond. Bond strength builds immediately on contact.
Replacing old pads: peel the old one off. Clean the residue with isopropyl alcohol. Apply a fresh round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad to the clean surface. On heavy furniture, a plastic scraper helps remove old adhesive without damaging the leg finish.

Standard, Heavy-Duty, or Foam? Choosing the Right Round Pad

Three versions. Same PA6 surface on all three. Same floor protection. The difference is underneath, and choosing the right one comes down to the furniture’s weight and whether vibration is a concern.

Single-Layer pads

PA6 surface + EHBT adhesive. Thinnest profile and widest size range: 33 diameters starting at Ø 12 mm. For most residential furniture on flat, level floors at normal weight.

Your floor was not scratched by the chair

It was scratched by the pad you put there to protect it. Here is how that happens, and what we do differently.

A felt pad, six weeks in

Flat felt is an open mat

It picks up sand and grit from the floor and holds it there. Every time the chair moves, that grit is dragged across the finish. The pad is still doing its job, and it is the thing causing the damage.

Superior Glide

A PA6 fiber face

Vertical fiber, not a flat mat. It does not trap debris the way flat felt does, and it holds its thickness under a loaded sofa or bookcase.

Frequently Asked Questions

How thick are heavy-duty pads compared to Standard pads?

Round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pads use 11 mm thick PA6 needle-punched fiber, more than double the Standard construction. The extra depth gives the fiber structure room to absorb heavy loads without compressing down to the adhesive layer. Under a grand piano or a 200 kg commercial dining table, Standard pads wear through in months. The 11 mm construction handles those same loads with significantly longer service life.

Will these protect my hardwood under a grand piano?

Yes. Pianos are the single most common application. Measure the diameter of each caster cup base (not the caster wheel) and select the slightly smaller pad size. The 11 mm PA6 distributes the piano’s concentrated weight across the full pad surface, preventing compression marks and finish damage. For square piano feet, use square heavy-duty pads instead.

Why do heavy-duty pads start at Ø 30 mm instead of Ø 12 mm like Standard pads?

Furniture heavy enough to need 11 mm protection almost always has legs Ø 30 mm or larger. Small accent furniture and lightweight chairs do not generate enough load to justify extra thickness. For legs under Ø 30 mm, Standard round pads with starting at Ø 12 mm provide the right balance.

Does the extra weight of heavy furniture help or hurt the adhesive bond?

It helps. The EHBT fiberglass mesh acrylic adhesive bonds on contact under sustained downward pressure. Heavy furniture accelerates the cure. More weight means a stronger, faster bond. This is the one installation advantage of heavy furniture. Once the round heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad is pressed in place and the furniture set back down, the bond sets more quickly than it would under a lightweight chair.

Can I use these on a commercial dining table that gets dragged across tile every service?

Yes, and this is one of the primary commercial applications. The 11 mm PA6 construction handles heavy table weight and repeated lateral movement across tile, polished concrete, and other hard commercial floors. For bulk commercial pricing, visit Business Solutions. If the table has square or rectangular legs, use square or rectangular heavy-duty pads.
