A person’s full body weight, transmitted through a heavy steel frame, dragged across a narrow runner hundreds of times a day. Standard pads wear through in months under that kind of punishment. Two measurements: width and length. On heavy furniture this matters more than on lightweight pieces because under heavy load, an oversized pad peels faster and an undersized pad concentrates weight on a smaller area, accelerating wear. Heavy furniture may need two people to tilt safely. You need a clear look at the flat contact surface where the rectangular heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad will bond. For sled bases, examine the full length of each runner.
Width is the shorter dimension. Length is the longer one. In millimeters. For sled bases, measure the flat contact length of each runner, not the curved section that lifts off the floor.
Find your width group (20 to 60 mm), then select the length. If your measurement falls between two sizes, go slightly smaller. A rectangular heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad inside the footprint stays bonded under heavy load.
Same peel-and-press installation as Standard pads. No tools required except scissors or a utility knife for trimming the 460 mm strip. It picks up sand and grit from the floor and holds it there. Every time the chair moves, that grit is dragged across the finish. The pad is still doing its job, and it is the thing causing the damage.

Long sled-base runners. Many commercial cantilever and sled-base chairs have runners that contact the floor for 300 to 450 mm. The 60 × 460 mm strip provides continuous 11 mm thick protection along the full length of the runner in a single piece. Trim to length with a utility knife if needed. For shorter runners, the standard 104-size range covers lengths up to 300 mm across 6 width groups.
Rectangular self-adhesive furniture glides add ABS platform rigidity and come in one size (33 × 19 mm). Rectangular heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pads come in with 11 mm thick PA6. For heavy sled-base runners, wide conference table legs, or any rectangular contact point larger than 33 × 19 mm, heavy-duty pads are the only option. Glides are better for small, high-frequency seating.
Yes. Conference tables with rectangular legs are a common commercial application. The 11 mm PA6 handles both the heavy table weight and the lateral stress of repositioning across smooth, hard floors. Use it full length if your runner contact area is 460 mm or close to it. If the runner is shorter, trim with a sharp utility knife. Cut from the PA6 side for a clean edge. The factory-sealed edges on the long sides remain intact. Only the trimmed end loses its factory seal, so keep that trimmed end inside the runner footprint where it is protected by the leg above.
