Heavy square-legged furniture concentrates enormous weight on four corner points, exactly the spots where Standard pads fail first. The corners compress, the fiber thins out, and within months the raw corner of the leg is grinding directly into your floor. Square heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pads use 11 mm thick PA6 needle-punched fiber to handle the load. More than double the Standard thickness. Same silent, low-friction surface. Heavy furniture may need two people to tilt safely. You need a clear look at the flat bottom surface where the square heavy-duty self-adhesive furniture pad will bond.
Width of the flat base in millimeters. Both sides should be equal. If they are not, the leg is rectangular: use rectangular heavy-duty pads instead.

It picks up sand and grit from the floor and holds it there. Every time the chair moves, that grit is dragged across the finish. The pad is still doing its job, and it is the thing causing the damage.

Square legs concentrate weight at four corner points. Each corner bears more pressure per square millimeter than the center of the pad. On heavy furniture, those corners compress through standard-thickness PA6 faster than the center does, leaving bare wood or metal grinding into the floor at the exact spots you were trying to protect. Yes. Entertainment centers with square legs are one of the most common residential applications.
