The chair noise that shows up in guest comments, and the part that ends it.

Lounges, restaurants, ballrooms and guest rooms each put a different leg on a different floor. One spec per space, written down, reordered on the refurbishment cycle without re-measuring a thing.

Hotel lobby lounge chairs on a hardwood floor

The problem

Three things a director of engineering hears about.

Noise on hard floors

A dining chair pulled out on stone or hardwood is heard three tables away. A needle-punched PA6 face moves silently on a smooth hard floor; on textured tile or carpet the answer is a hard ABS slide.

Tables that wobble

Banquet rounds and lounge tables on a floor that is rarely perfectly flat. A threaded leveling foot with a floor-matched pad takes it out and stays where it is set.

Parts that come off

Hardware-store pads creep under shear and let go at the leg face. Nail-on glides use a tubular rivet; self-adhesive glides use an extra-high-bond acrylic foam that cures in 48 hours.

What goes where

What goes where in a hotel.

Every card links to the line. Sizes and mountings are on the product pages; the quote names them for you.

Restaurant and lounge chairs

Wood legs on hardwood, stone or LVT: nail-on glides. Metal or chrome legs: self-adhesive glides. Grouted tile or carpet: slides.

Banquet and stacking chairs

Hollow steel legs take a tube plug with a floor-contact face, or a threaded insert with a foot where the frame allows it.

Tables and stands

Adjustable leveling feet, M4 to M12 and imperial threads, standard or low-profile base, pad matched to the floor.

Sled base lounge seating

Sled and cantilever frames need a glide that clips or screws to the runner. Almost nobody sells these to the end buyer.

Proof

Three generations of glides failed on the same stools before the right one went on.

Hotel lobby, children’s area
Hotel lobby · children’s stools

A PTFE slide wore through on the carpet and left screws in the legs. A nail-on glide snapped and left bare nails against the floor. A soft plastic glide broke at the nail. The fourth, a self-adhesive hard-faced glide with enough grip that a child cannot skate the stool away, is what went on. Specified by our team for a resort lobby.

How buying works

From first email to delivered order, in four steps.

01  Tell us what you have

Floor type, furniture type, a rough count. A photo of a leg with a ruler beside it saves a round of email.

02  Spec and samples

Once we know the furniture and the floor, we put the product, size and mounting in writing and send samples of what we recommend. Free for businesses.

03  Quote at your quantity

The quote says which sizes are in stock and which are made to order, with the ship date in writing.

04  Confirm and order

Reply to the quote and we set the order up by email, the way your business normally buys. Reorders run off the spec on file.

Straight answers

Questions we get from hotels and resorts.

Can you work to a refurbishment schedule?

Yes. Tell us the room count and the window and the quote states the ship date in writing. Sizes marked In stock ship nationwide; project quantities in other sizes are produced in a run for the date.

Yes. Once the spec is agreed we set the order up with your procurement team by email. Vendor forms and a W-9 on request.

Send a photo of each leg base with a ruler beside it, or the manufacturer and model. We size to the leg and put every model on one spec sheet.

That is a common route. The furniture and the floor first, then samples of the parts we recommend, then one room, then the property.

Ready when you are

Send us the floor and the chair. We send back the spec.

One email with a photo of the leg and the floor it stands on is enough to start.
