A square leg that does not sit perfectly flat concentrates all the furniture’s weight on two diagonal corners, rocking back and forth, grinding the high corners into your floor finish with every shift. Standard pads cannot fix the problem because the rigid adhesive only bonds to the high spots and lifts from the low ones. Square foam self-adhesive furniture pads add an EVA closed-cell foam layer that compresses where the leg is high and fills where the leg is low, distributing weight evenly across the full footprint including all four corners. No wobble. No concentrated corner damage. PA6 needle-punched fiber on top for silent, low-friction floor protection. Square foam furniture pads take up that difference and let all four corners land.

Same process as Standard pads. Measure one side of the square leg base in millimeters. Both sides should be equal. If they are not, the leg is rectangular: use rectangular foam pads instead. Between two sizes? Go smaller. The foam adds thickness but does not change how you measure. With 31 square foam self-adhesive furniture pad sizes at 10 mm increments, there is a near-exact match.
Flip the furniture or tilt it on its side. You need to see the bottom of each leg. Look for the uneven surface that the square foam self-adhesive furniture pad will conform to.
Width of the flat base in millimeters. If the leg is round, use round foam pads instead.
Between sizes? Go smaller. The foam conforms without needing to overhang. A square foam self-adhesive furniture pad inside the footprint bridges gaps across the full base.

It picks up sand and grit from the floor and holds it there. Every time the chair moves, that grit is dragged across the finish. The pad is still doing its job, and it is the thing causing the damage.

Square legs concentrate weight at four corner points. When a square leg is slightly uneven, the furniture rocks diagonally between two opposite corners, grinding the high corners into the floor with every shift. The EVA foam in square foam self-adhesive furniture pads compresses at the high corners and fills the gap at the low corners, bringing all four contact points into even contact with the floor. This eliminates the diagonal rocking pattern that is unique to square-legged furniture.
Yes, if the wobble is caused by slightly uneven leg bases or minor floor variation. The EVA foam compresses under the high points and maintains thickness under the low points. This brings all four legs into full contact with the tile. If the wobble is caused by a significantly bent or damaged leg, the foam cannot compensate for structural problems larger than a few millimeters.
Yes. Vibration dampening is one of the primary applications. The EVA foam absorbs the vibrations that speakers and subwoofers transmit through their bases into the floor. This reduces bass resonance in the room below and prevents the gradual finish damage that vibrating equipment causes. Measure the base and select the square foam self-adhesive furniture pad that is slightly smaller.
Different problems, different solutions. Square heavy-duty pads use 11 mm thick PA6 for extreme weight (pianos, commercial tables). Square foam self-adhesive furniture pads use EVA foam for conforming to uneven surfaces and dampening vibration. If the furniture is both heavy and uneven, heavy-duty pads are the better choice because the 11 mm depth handles both problems.
Yes. The EVA foam layer isolates the vibration at the point of contact. The sub’s bass frequencies transfer through the cabinet into the feet, then into the floor, then into the room structure.
