Overview

Square Rubber Furniture Feet with Pad

Square rubber furniture feet with pad combine a rubber body with an integrated PA6 pad on the floor contact surface. The rubber body absorbs vibration and impact. The PA6 pad provides smooth, low-friction contact on hard floors, the same PA6 compound used on furniture glides, furniture slides, and furniture pads. External mount slides over the end of a 38 × 38 mm square furniture leg. Black. Sold in packs of 4.

Available: Square Rubber Furniture Feet with Pad

38 × 38 mm / Black / External Mount

Rubber body with integrated PA6 pad. External mount slides over the leg end. For 38 mm square legs (solid or hollow). Black. Sold in packs of 4.

For round feet: round furniture feet (Ø 49 mm). For sliding glides on chairs: furniture glides. For nail-on gliders: furniture glider. For height adjustment: adjustable leveling feet. For custom sizes, contact Business Solutions.

How External Mount Works

The rubber foot has a square internal cavity that matches the 38 × 38 mm leg dimension. Slide the foot over the end of the leg. The rubber holds the leg through friction. No screws, no adhesive, no tools. The rubber cavity accommodates slight dimensional variations (approximately 37 to 39 mm) through the natural elasticity of the rubber material.

External mount works on both solid wood legs and hollow metal square tube legs with an outside dimension of 38 mm. For legs significantly smaller than 37 mm, the foot will fit loosely. For legs larger than 39 mm, the foot will not slide on.

Three Functions: Floor Protection, Vibration Dampening, Noise Reduction

Floor protection

The integrated PA6 pad provides smooth, low-friction floor contact. The same PA6 compound used on furniture pads, furniture glides, and furniture slides. On hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, and polished concrete, the PA6 pad prevents scratching and denting. The PA6 surface allows the furniture to slide smoothly when repositioned.

Vibration dampening

The rubber body absorbs vibration and impact energy. For equipment stands, workbenches with power tools, and furniture near mechanical sources, the rubber isolates the vibration from the floor. This reduces transmitted noise and prevents vibration-induced “walking” where furniture slowly creeps across the floor over time.

Noise reduction

The rubber body absorbs impact noise when items are placed on the furniture or when the furniture is set down after moving. The combination of rubber dampening and smooth PA6 floor contact provides a quieter furniture-to-floor interface than bare metal or wood leg ends on hard floors.

The PA6 Pad

The “with Pad” designation means the floor contact surface is a PA6 pad integrated into the rubber body during manufacturing. This is the same PA6 compound used on furniture glides, furniture slides, and furniture pads. Some leveling feet and tube plugs also offer PA6 as a floor contact option. The PA6 pad cannot separate from the rubber body during normal use. When the pad wears through from floor contact, the entire foot is replaced as a single unit.

Rubber Body with PA6 Pad vs. Other Floor Protection

Square rubber furniture feet with pad combine two materials for two different purposes. The rubber body handles vibration and impact. The PA6 pad handles floor contact. Other products in the catalog use a single material.

This product: rubber + PA6

Vibration dampening from the rubber body. Smooth PA6 floor contact. For furniture that benefits from vibration absorption (workbenches, equipment stands, tables near machinery) while still needing smooth floor contact for repositioning.

PA-only products

Furniture glides use PA6 needle-punched fiber for floor contact. Leveling feet and sled base glides use PA throughout. No vibration dampening. For furniture where smooth sliding and floor protection are the only requirements.

Floor Surface Compatibility

The PA6 pad is compatible with all standard hard floor surfaces: hardwood, luxury vinyl, tile, polished concrete, laminate, and natural stone. The PA6 provides smooth, non-scratching contact on all of these surfaces.

The rubber body does not contact the floor directly. The PA6 pad is the only surface that touches the floor. This means square rubber furniture feet with pad do not leave rubber marks on floor finishes, even after extended static contact.

Installation

No tools required. Slide the square rubber furniture feet with pad over the furniture leg end until fully seated. The rubber cavity holds the leg through friction. The furniture’s weight pressing the foot against the floor reinforces the fit. Repeat on each leg. Set the furniture upright.

What Square Rubber Furniture Feet with Pad Solve

Floor protection and vibration isolation on furniture with 38 mm square legs. The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) recommends protective contact surfaces on all furniture legs. Square rubber furniture feet with pad provide that protection through the PA6 pad while adding vibration dampening that single-material feet do not offer.

Unlike leaving furniture legs unprotected on finished floors, the PA6 pad prevents scratching and denting at every leg position. The rubber body adds the vibration dampening benefit that is not available from PA-only feet and glides.

Sizing: 38 × 38 mm Square Legs

Square rubber furniture feet with pad fit furniture legs with an outside dimension of approximately 38 × 38 mm (about 1.5 × 1.5 inches). This is a common leg size for medium to heavy commercial and industrial furniture: kitchen prep tables, workshop tables, storage cabinets, and equipment stands. The rubber accommodates legs from approximately 37 to 39 mm.

For round legs, see round furniture feet (Ø 49 mm). For different square sizes, contact Business Solutions. For hollow square tubes that need internal plugs rather than external feet, see tube plugs and end caps.

Where People Use Square Rubber Furniture Feet with Pad

Commercial and industrial

Commercial kitchens, workshops, manufacturing floors, and warehouse environments where heavy tables and equipment with 38 mm square legs need floor protection and vibration dampening. The rubber construction handles harsh industrial conditions. Available in bulk. For commercial pricing, visit Business Solutions.

Residential

Home workshops, garage workbenches, heavy kitchen tables, and storage furniture with 38 mm square legs on hardwood or tile floors. For other furniture in the same home, self-adhesive glides and furniture pads provide PA6 floor protection on pieces that need to slide.

Maintenance

Inspect the PA6 pad periodically for wear. The rubber body is durable and typically outlasts the pad surface. When the pad wears through, replace the entire foot. Check that the rubber still holds the leg securely. Square rubber furniture feet with pad are sold in packs of 4. Most tables have 4 legs, so one pack covers one table.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does external mount mean?

External mount means the rubber foot slides over the outside of the furniture leg end. The leg inserts into the foot’s internal cavity. This is different from internal inserts (like tube plugs) that press into the inside of a hollow tube. External mount works on both solid and hollow square legs as long as the outside dimension is approximately 38 mm.

What is the PA6 pad?

The PA6 pad is the floor contact surface built into the bottom of the rubber foot. PA6 provides smooth, low-friction contact with the floor, the same PA6 compound used across all Superior Glide glides, slides, and pads. The PA6 pad is integrated into the rubber body during manufacturing and cannot separate during normal use.

Does rubber provide vibration dampening?

Yes. Rubber absorbs vibration energy by converting mechanical oscillation into heat through internal friction within the rubber compound. For equipment stands, workbenches with power tools, and furniture near mechanical sources, the rubber body isolates the vibration from the floor.

Can I use these on legs that are not exactly 38 mm?

The external cavity is sized for 38 mm square legs. Legs slightly smaller (37 mm) may fit with a looser hold. Legs larger than 39 mm will not fit. Measure the outside dimension of your furniture leg before ordering. For round legs, see round furniture feet instead.

Does the PA6 pad allow the furniture to slide?

Yes. PA6 has a low coefficient of friction on hard floors. The furniture can be repositioned by pushing or pulling it across the floor. The PA6 pad slides smoothly on hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, and polished concrete. The rubber body does not contact the floor, so it does not create drag.
