Standard square tube plugs seal the tube end and protect the floor. But they cannot accept a leveling foot. Square threaded inserts do both: they press inside the hollow square tube with a ribbed PA body that grips all four interior walls, and they add a pre-installed zinc-plated steel nut that accepts any adjustable leveling foot with a matching M thread. One product provides tube sealing, floor protection, and threaded height adjustment in a single press-fit installation. The broadest square threaded insert range available: from 20 × 20 to 50 × 50 mm with M8, M10, and M12 threads. Two components in one product. The PA body press-fits inside the square tube and grips all four interior walls with flexible ribs. The zinc-plated steel nut is pre-installed in the center of the PA body. A leveling foot screws into the nut, and the nut transfers the load through the PA body to the tube walls.
Step 1. Press the insert into the tube
Align the insert corners with the tube corners. Push in by hand or tap with a rubber mallet. The PA body grips all four walls. The insert seals the tube end and anchors the nut.
Step 2. Screw in the leveling foot
Any leveling foot with the matching M thread screws directly into the nut. No drilling, no tapping, no additional hardware. The thread engagement is immediate.
Step 3. Adjust the height
Turn the leveling foot to raise or lower that corner. Each leg adjusts independently. On uneven floors, independent adjustment at each leg eliminates wobble and levels the furniture precisely.
Two tube measurements plus the thread size. Square threaded inserts require the outside dimension of the square tube, the wall thickness, and the M thread of the leveling foot.
Step 1. Measure the outside dimension
Use calipers across one side of the square tube, outside edge to outside edge. Confirm both sides are equal. Available sizes: 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, and 50 mm.
Step 2. Measure the wall thickness
Use calipers at the tube end. All these inserts require a 1 to 2 mm wall. The PA body ribs are engineered for this range.
Step 3. Confirm the thread size
Check your leveling foot's M thread. Not all thread sizes are available on all tube sizes. The 20 × 20, 25 × 25, and 45 × support M8 only. The 30 × 30, 40 × 40, and 50 × support multiple threads.
Corner alignment: Square threaded inserts must enter the tube with corners aligned to corners. The square profile means the insert only fits in one rotational orientation (or rotated 90°, 180°, 270°, which are all equivalent on a square). Align and press evenly.
Same press-fit installation as standard square tube plugs, with attention to nut orientation. The nut must face the floor so the leveling foot can screw in from below. A rubber mallet is recommended for all sizes because the PA body with the steel nut is heavier and denser than a standard PE plug.

Everything a standard square tube plug provides, plus the ability to accept adjustable leveling feet. Adjustable leveling on square-legged furniture
The primary function. Tables wobble on uneven floors. Workbenches need precise leveling for tool accuracy. Display fixtures need uniform height across a row. Square threaded inserts provide the M-threaded connection that leveling feet require. Each leg adjusts independently.
Floor protection through leveling feet
The leveling foot becomes the floor contact surface. Most feet have base pads (PE, rubber, or anti-slip TPE) that protect floors better than bare metal. Tube sealing on square profiles
Same sealed end as standard square tube plugs. The PA body fills the square tube opening and prevents moisture, debris, and insects from entering. On steel tubing, sealed ends prevent internal corrosion. The nut does not compromise the seal because it is embedded within the PA body.

The M thread determines the leveling foot diameter and load capacity. Smaller threads handle lighter loads. Larger threads handle heavier loads. Not all thread sizes are available on all tube sizes because the PA body must have enough cross-section to house the nut securely.
M8: universal
Available on all 6 tube sizes. Handles standard residential and commercial furniture weight. The default choice for most tables, desks, and display fixtures in both residential and commercial settings. If you are unsure which thread to specify, M8 covers most applications.
M10: heavy commercial
Available on 30 × 30, 40 × 40, and 50 × 50 mm. For heavy conference tables, library tables, and commercial furniture that supports substantial weight. Larger thread provides more metal contact and greater stripping resistance under sustained heavy loads.
M12: industrial
Available on 30 × 30 and 40 × 40 mm. For the heaviest applications: industrial workbenches, laboratory tables, and furniture supporting heavy equipment. The largest thread provides maximum load capacity through the threaded connection.

M10 is available on 30 × 30, 40 × 40, and 50 × 50 mm. M12 is available on 30 × 30 and 40 × 40 mm. The smaller sizes (20 × 20 and 25 × 25) only support M8 because the larger nut required for M10 and M12 would not fit within the smaller PA body. The 45 × 45 mm size currently supports M8 only.
No. Square inserts have equal sides and will not fit a rectangular opening. Use rectangular threaded inserts for rectangular tubing. The insert shape must match the tube shape exactly
