These ABS sliders mount under furniture legs so heavy pieces ride over carpet, rugs, and rough hard floors instead of snagging or digging in. Sizing
Measure across the leg base at its widest and find the row it lands in. Shape does not change the numbers.

Choose the slide that matches the leg base or runs a touch smaller. Oversize is the one mistake the chart cannot forgive.
One set of bands covers every leg shape, and rectangular is the single-size row at 33 × 19 mm (1.30″ × 0.75″).
Slides stop at 50 mm (1.97″), which covers legs up to 100 mm (3.94″). On deep pile, take the largest slide that still sits within the leg base.
Not sure this is the right line
Slides sit between two sibling lines. If the floor or the furniture points elsewhere, the cards below say where.
Carpet, carpet tile, area rugs, or hard floors that are textured or deeply grouted. A hard ABS face on the slider rides over the surface instead of sinking into it.
Smooth hard floors: hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, polished tile. A needle-punched PA6 face instead of hard ABS.
Oversized legs beyond any slide, to 300 × 300 mm (11.81″ × 11.81″), on smooth hard floors. Adhesive only, in far more sizes.

No. The face is smooth and the load spreads across the whole disc, so it rides on top of the pile rather than digging into it. It is the fiber face on a glide that catches in carpet, which is why glides are not used there.
Yes. Grout channels are exactly where a fiber glide dips and catches. The hard ABS face bridges the line and keeps moving. The same applies to slate, textured tile, brick and broom-finish concrete.
On carpet, no. The pile still provides resistance and the slide only removes the drag. On a hard floor the movement is freer, which is the point for chairs that get repositioned but worth knowing for anything you would rather stayed put.
Not the size, but the footprint matters more. On deep pile choose the largest slide that still sits within the leg base, because a wider face spreads the load and sinks in less.
Yes, if the same furniture moves between them. Slides are built for carpet and for rough hard floors; glides are built for smooth sealed floors. A slide will move on hardwood but a glide is quieter and gentler on the finish, so most people fit slides to the carpet-room furniture and glides to the rest.

Furniture sliders for carpet let heavy pieces move across the pile without digging in or tearing it. Sliders and slides are the same part, sold under different names. The face is hard ABS rather than a fiber, so it rides on top of the pile instead of sinking into it, and that same property makes sliders the right call on rough, hard floors.
Loop pile, cut pile, carpet tile, and area rugs. Also tile with deep grout lines, slate, brushed stone, and any hard floor textured enough that a fiber face would dip and catch. A sofa, bed frame, or loaded cabinet that has to shift for cleaning moves with far less effort on sliders.
The two lines look alike and do opposite jobs. A PA6 glide is built for smooth sealed floors, and its face wears quickly on carpet or abrasive stone. An ABS slider is built for carpet and rough surfaces, and on a polished floor it moves more freely than most people want. If the same furniture crosses both, order a set of each rather than splitting the difference.
Nail-on sliders fix into solid wood legs with a tubular zinc rivet. Self-adhesive sliders bond to any flat, clean base, which covers metal, plastic, and engineered wood. Both come in round, square, and rectangular.
Size to the leg base as usual: flush or slightly inside, never larger. On thick or high-pile carpet, lean toward the largest slider that still fits within the base. A wider face spreads the load and stops the leg from pressing a channel into the pile.

The sizes in the filter are the size of the protector, not the leg. Measure the leg at its widest point where it meets the floor. The right size sits flush with the leg base or very slightly inside it. Never larger.
