Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between end caps and tube plugs?

End caps slide over the outside of the tube. Tube plugs press inside the tube. End caps are visible from the side and slightly increase the tube’s outer dimension. Tube plugs are flush with the tube end and invisible from the side.

Why are only Ø 10 mm and Ø 12 mm available?

These sizes cover the most common small-diameter tubing used in lightweight furniture, wire shelving, and display fixtures. For larger diameters, internal tube plugs provide a cleaner finish because they don’t add to the outer profile.

Can I use end caps on the bottom of furniture legs?

Yes. The cap slides over the tube end and creates a PE floor-contact surface. For small-diameter tubes like Ø 10 mm and Ø 12 mm, end caps provide a simple, effective floor protector.

How do end caps stay on?

Friction fit. The cap’s inner diameter is slightly smaller than the tube’s outer diameter, so it grips the outside of the tube wall. For additional security, a small drop of adhesive can be applied inside the cap before installation.

Are these the same material as tube plugs?

Yes. Same PE (polyethylene) construction. Same chemical resistance, UV stability, and durability. Different mounting method: external instead of internal.
