Furniture Glides for Hard Floors

The floor underneath your furniture is quietly taking a beating. Every drag, every scrape, every chair pulled back at the dinner table leaves a mark. Professional-grade furniture glides for hard floors — hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, and stone — nail-on or self-adhesive, in every shape and size your furniture demands.

Choose Your Mounting Method

The right furniture glide for hard floors starts with the right fit. Solid wood legs pair with nail-on glides. Metal, plastic, and hollow tube legs pair with self-adhesive. Each mounting method is designed to protect your floors while providing the strongest possible connection to the leg.

NAIL-ON

Nail-On Furniture Glides

Mechanical fastening via zinc-plated steel tubular rivet — the professional standard for solid wood furniture legs. No pre-drilling required on any hardwood, MDF, or softwood species. The rivet separates wood fibers rather than removing material — replaceable in the same location, time and time again, without damaging the leg.

  • Round nail-on — 5 sizes: Ø 23 mm to Ø 75 mm
  • Square nail-on — 5 sizes: 23 × 23 mm to 75 × 75 mm
  • Rectangular nail-on — 33 × 19 mm
  • PA6 hard floor and NR+CR anti-slip variants available
  • For solid wooden furniture legs only
ANTI-SLIP

Anti-Slip Furniture Glides

NR+CR (Natural Rubber + Chloroprene Rubber) surface at 30 Shore A provides controlled grip — furniture stays exactly where you put it. Available in both nail-on and self-adhesive mounting. Built for boats, RVs, restaurants, healthcare, and any environment where an unexpected slide means a problem.

  • Round anti-slip — 5 sizes: Ø 23 mm to Ø 75 mm
  • Square anti-slip — 5 sizes: 23 × 23 mm to 75 × 75 mm
  • Rectangular anti-slip — 33 × 19 mm
  • Available in nail-on (wood) and self-adhesive (any material)
  • Marine, RV, and commercial rated

Nail-On Furniture Glides

Designed for solid wooden furniture legs. The zinc-plated tubular rivet drives in with a rubber mallet — no drilling, no prep — and holds without loosening over years of daily use. Square and rectangular variants include an anti-rotation mortise that prevents the glide from spinning on the rivet and exposing unprotected corners. Nail-on furniture glides for hard floors are the professional standard for wooden legs in residential and commercial settings.

Nail-On — Hard Floors (PA6 Sliding Surface)

The PA6 needle-punched fiber surface (1,450 g/m² pile density) delivers smooth, quiet movement on hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, stone, and all other hard floors. PA6 fibers are oriented vertically and mechanically interlocked — they resist horizontal shear forces and won’t delaminate the way glued felt pads do. Temperature range: −40°C to +85°C.

Round Nail-On Glides — Hard Floors

For round and turned wooden furniture legs. Fits Ø 23 mm through Ø 75 mm legs.

Ø 23 mm
Fits legs Ø 23–27 mm — Side chairs, lightweight seats
Ø 28 mm
Fits legs Ø 28–37 mm — Dining chairs, desk chairs
Ø 38 mm

Ø 50 mm
Fits legs Ø 50–74 mm — Dining tables, coffee tables
Ø 75 mm
Fits legs Ø 75 mm+ — Conference tables, heavy furniture

Square Nail-On Glides — Hard Floors

For square-section wooden furniture legs. The anti-rotation mortise on the tubular rivet prevents rotation — critical on square glides where any spin exposes an unprotected corner.

23 × 23 mm
Fits 23–27 × 23–27 mm — Lightweight side chairs
28 × 28 mm
Fits 28–37 × 28–37 mm — Dining chairs, bar stools

Fits 38–49 × 38–49 mm — Dining chairs, accent chairs
50 × 50 mm
Fits 50–74 × 50–74 mm — Heavy chairs, dining tables
75 × 75 mm
Fits 75 × 75 mm+ — Conference & executive tables

Rectangular Nail-On Glides — Hard Floors

For oblong and rectangular wooden furniture legs — the hallmark of mid-century modern, Scandinavian, and contemporary furniture design. Anti-rotation mortise prevents the glide from spinning under asymmetric load.

33 × 19 mm
Fits 33–40 × 19–25 mm — Mid-century chairs, modern dining

Nail-On — Anti-Slip (NR+CR Rubber Surface)

The NR+CR (Natural Rubber + Chloroprene Rubber) surface at 30 Shore A provides controlled grip on smooth hard floors. Use these when furniture must stay put — restaurant dining chairs on polished concrete, boat cabin furniture on marine flooring, RV seating that shifts underway, or anywhere a sliding chair is a hazard. Same ABS platform and ZnFe rivet as the PA6 range — only the surface material differs.

Square Nail-On Anti-Slip Glides

Full corner-to-corner rubber grip with anti-rotation mortise. A round anti-slip glide on a square leg loses grip at all four corners — square anti-slip glides solve this.

23 × 23 mm
Fits 23–27 × 23–27 mm — Side chairs, small stools

75 × 75 mm
Fits 75 × 75 mm+ — Conference tables, marine furniture

Rectangular Nail-On Anti-Slip Glides

Full-length rubber grip across the oblong footprint. Rectangular legs generate the highest shear forces along the long axis — the anti-rotation mortise prevents misalignment under asymmetric load.

33 × 19 mm
Fits 33–40 × 19–25 mm — Modern dining, mid-century chairs

Self-Adhesive Furniture Glides

For metal, plastic, hollow tube, and wooden furniture legs that can’t accept a rivet. The EHBF (Extra High Bond Foam) acrylic foam tape bonds to virtually any clean, smooth surface — chrome, powder-coated steel, anodized aluminum, engineering plastics, and wood. Clean the leg with isopropyl alcohol, peel, press firmly for 10 seconds, and the glide is on. Allow 24 hours for full adhesive cure before heavy use.

Self-Adhesive — Hard Floors (PA6 Sliding Surface)

Same high-density needle-punched PA6 fiber surface as the nail-on range — 1,450 g/m² pile density, vertically oriented fibers that resist shear without delaminating. Ideal for the sleek metal-leg dining chairs, industrial-frame tables, and hollow tube steel furniture that define modern residential and hospitality spaces.

Ø 75 mm
Fits legs Ø 75 mm+ — Conference tables, heavy furniture

Square Self-Adhesive Glides — Hard Floors

Full corner-to-corner PA6 coverage for square legs of any material. Round glides on square legs leave all four corners unprotected.

Rectangular Self-Adhesive Glides — Hard Floors

For oblong legs and sled frame contact points — mid-century modern, Scandinavian, and contemporary furniture design. EHBF bonds to chrome and steel sled frames without tools.

33 × 19 mm
Fits 33–40 × 19–25 mm — Modern dining, sled frames, mid-century

Self-Adhesive — Anti-Slip (NR+CR Rubber Surface)

The same NR+CR rubber compound as the nail-on anti-slip range, bonded to EHBF foam tape. For metal-frame furniture in restaurants, bars, showrooms, boats, and RVs where floor grip is non-negotiable but hammering in a rivet isn’t an option. Same ABS platform — only the attachment method differs.

Need a Wider Size Range?

Furniture glides are available in 5 round sizes, 5 square sizes, and 1 rectangular size. If your leg falls outside these ranges — or you need the widest possible size selection — self-adhesive furniture pads use the same PA6 needle-punched surface in many more sizes.

Glides have an ABS platform for structural rigidity — the stronger option for high-use furniture. Pads provide the widest size range with simpler peel-and-stick installation — excellent for tables, cabinets, and furniture that moves less frequently.

Glide-to-Leg Size Reference

The optimum glide size is the one that matches the leg’s actual dimension as closely as possible. Oversized glides overhang and lift at the edges. Undersized glides leave the leg edge unprotected. Match the leg, not the approximate.

Why These Glides, Not Something Cheaper

There are three types of people who buy furniture glides for hard floors: those who’ve just scratched a floor they love, those who’ve replaced glides that fell apart in six months, and professionals who already know what PA6 means. All three end up here.

vs. Standard Felt Pads
PA6 fibers are mechanically interlocked by needle-punching — felt layers are glue-bonded and separate under lateral load. No adhesive layer to weaken with moisture. Nail-on glides are mechanically fixed — felt pads peel off. PA6 outlasts felt by years in daily-use environments.
vs. Plain Nail Glides
The tubular rivet separates wood fibers rather than removing them — the hole stays tight over multiple replacements. The wide rivet head is molded into the ABS platform: one structurally integrated unit, not a rivet glued to a disc. ABS resists impact and doesn’t age-crack like cheap plastic.
vs. Generic Adhesive Glides
EHBF foam backing provides structural adhesive performance — not repositionable tape. The closed-cell foam core absorbs lateral shear forces and vibration from chair movement. Waterproof adhesive survives wet-mopping, spills, and humidity. ABS platform distributes load evenly, eliminating point-loading that peels the bond.
